A North York Law Office Across the Street from the Courthouse

Lexaltico LLP’s North York office at 2 Sheppard Ave East sits at the heart of one of Ontario’s most diverse legal markets. North York, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, and Thornhill are home to large Italian, Persian, South Asian, Korean, Chinese, and Russian-speaking communities, each with distinct needs in family law, employment law, immigration, and business matters.

Our office is at 2 Sheppard Avenue East, Suite 303, directly above Sheppard-Yonge station and directly across Yonge Street from 47 Sheppard Avenue East, which houses the Toronto Small Claims Court and, since 1 September 2024, the Ontario Court of Justice family court for most of North York, Scarborough and north Etobicoke. North York is part of the City of Toronto, so its divorces, property claims and larger civil claims are decided at the Superior Court of Justice at 361 University Avenue, about 30 minutes south on Line 1. Clients from Vaughan, Thornhill, Richmond Hill and Markham reach us on the same subway line, and for them the relevant Superior Court is in Newmarket; we appear in both.

York Region’s rapid growth has created a complex legal environment. Vaughan’s booming construction and technology sector generates employment disputes. Richmond Hill’s international community requires skilled immigration representation. Thornhill’s families navigate the same custody, divorce, and property division challenges as any GTA community, but often with cross-border assets or foreign marriages that require particular experience. Lexaltico handles all of it.
